Wild Whales Vancouver is Granville Island's original whale watching company, operating since 2003. Their mission is "to protect marine wildlife, craft unforgettable experiences, and inspire a deeper, lasting connection to the ocean through education and exploration," delivered through small groups, custom-built vessels, expert naturalists, and a guaranteed sightings promise.

Guests choose from three vessel styles: Partly Sheltered, offering a protected viewing space with outdoor deck access; Open Air, a zodiac-style vessel with a smoother ride and unobstructed views; and Zodiac, a small-group, immersive experience with waterline perspectives. Tours run 3–5 hours depending on where the whales are that day, led by Transport Canada–certified captains and onboard naturalists who share real-time insight into wildlife behaviour, local geography, and coastal ecosystems. Sightings include orcas, humpback whales, bald eagles, and seals.

Conservation is built into every trip a portion of each ticket goes directly to research and wildlife initiatives through partners including the Center for Whale Research, BC Waterfowl Society, KETA Coastal Conservation, Pacific Salmon Foundation, and Ocean Wise. The company holds a 4.7 TripAdvisor rating and welcomes everyone from first-time visitors to experienced adventurers.
