About the Market
No. The Public Market is a separate entity operated by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. We are a privately managed waterfront commercial property located on the water's edge of Granville Island, home to independent businesses, marina moorage, and leasable commercial space.
Our mix of businesses is deliberately curated. You'll find artisan retailers, seafood suppliers, marine service businesses, boat rental and charter operators, waterfront experience companies, and office space.
A working waterfront where businesses sit alongside an active marina, marine operations, and consistent visitor traffic from Granville Island, which attracts millions of visitors each year. It’s an experience-driven destination as much as a commercial location, with no comparable setting in the city.
Our Business Directory lists all businesses with contact details, location within the property, and category. Use the search and filter tools to discover businesses that interest you.
Leasing
We welcome all businesses that reflect the character and community spirit of the marina. We are particularly interested in independent operators, Canadian makers and artisans, and businesses that complement the waterfront setting of the property. We encourage you to get in touch to explore opportunities. All inquiries are subject to review and approval.
We offer retail storefronts, small to mid-sized office space, and marine commercial space. All spaces are located within our five waterfront buildings on Granville Island.
No. Maritime Market & Marina is a curated property. We do not lease to chains or franchises. Our community of businesses is built around independent operators and Canadian makers.
Use the contact form on our Contact page or reach out directly to leasing@maritimemarketandmarina.com. Tell us about your business, the type of space you're looking for, and your preferred timeline. Our leasing team will respond to your inquiry.
We start with your inquiry and an initial conversation about fit and availability. If there’s a match, we’ll arrange a site tour and put together a tailored proposal. Once terms are agreed, we move to a lease agreement and set a move-in date.
